Hillary Clinton’s presidential election loss is such an historical failure that only a dead candidate more than a century ago failed more miserably than the 2016 Democratic nominee.
Liberals violently attacked good-faith Republican electors prior to the Electoral College Monday to sway them to vote for Clinton.
Ironically, more Democratic “faithless electors” ditched Clinton versus those who opposed President-elect Donald Trump.
The result was well-deserved for Clinton and her cohorts, according to one political commentator.
Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer called Clinton’s milestone of being the presidential candidate with the most faithless electors in 144 years “poetic justice.”
Two Republican electors and five Democratic electors voted for candidates other than Trump and Clinton in Monday’s tally.
Trump ultimately trounced Clinton in electoral votes, 304-227.
Krauthammer, who is not a Trump supporter, said the New York businessman won “fair and square.”
Krauthammer called the debate over faithless electors “a joke from the beginning.” He said criticism of Trump was needlessly entertained throughout the year-long election cycle and primary elections.
“You don’t stop them after the game,” he said of the final “score” between Trump and Clinton.
Clinton’s total of five is the largest faithless elector tally since 1872, when General Ulysses Grant (R) defeated Liberal Republican candidate Horace Greeley, a New York newspaper publisher.
Greeley, who was endorsed by the Democratic Party in hopes of defeating Grant, died before the electors could cast their vote, causing 63 not to vote for him.
Dead men do tell tales, and the sane world wishes the miserably defeated and her cronies would stop spinning tales.
Democrats and liberals need to do what they demanded of Trump – accept the election results and move forward to a transition with the new administration.
Leftists need to actually BE the party of tolerance and acceptance and not the party of fascism and hate as they’ve demonstrated throughout this election cycle.
