Eight years of all talk and no action, a shameful legacy.
Eight years of decline for the middle class and working families. Eight years of importing foreign workers. Eight years of unemployed workers falling off the roles still with no job. Eight years of dying hope and wondering when opportunity would arrive.
Americans are thankful eight years of Obama’s deceit and decline are over. Thank god President-elect Donald Trump didn’t wait for his four years to start before he began living up to his promises by boosting the economy and bringing jobs back to the US.
Trump once again shamed his predecessor-to-be as another major automotive manufacturer plans to invest money in operations and add new jobs to the US economy. From The Wall Street Journal:
General Motors Co. this week will announce plans to invest at least $1 billion across several US factories, two people familiar with the plan said. It’s a move aimed at underlining its commitment to US manufacturing jobs in the wake of Trump’s criticism of the auto maker’s imports from Mexico.
GM’s announcement could come as early as Tuesday, the people briefed on the plan said. The company will cite a number of new jobs in excess of 1,000 stemming from the investment, but doesn’t plan to specify which of its factories are in line for more work, one person said.
A GM spokesman declined to comment. The Trump transition team didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
GM’ upcoming announcement follows announcements from other automakers signaling a decline in Mexican investments while boosting investments and jobs stateside.
Ford on Jan. 3 said it scrapped plans for a $1.6 billion plant in Mexico that had been the subject of frequent criticism from Trump. Ford Chief Executive Mark Fields said the decision stemmed from sagging small-car demand in the US, but also called it a “vote of confidence” in Trump’s economic policies.
FCA and Toyota Motor Corp., which also had its Mexican production plans criticized by the president-elect, each in recent weeks have highlighted plans for significant investment in U.S. factories.
Here’s what Trump tweeted at the time:
General Motors is sending Mexican made model of Chevy Cruze to U.S. car dealers-tax free across border. Make in U.S.A.or pay big border tax!

Trump hasn’t waited years to get things done. He’s called out US companies that have bailed on American workers to squeeze out more profits with cheap labor.
Trump speaks his mind – thoughts echoed by American working families – and it equates to action.
If Trump only accomplishes half what he wants, his legacy will be that of a bulldozer moving things forward as America becomes great again.
There’s no shame in being successful and helping others achieve their own success.
