Any American consumer caught in the tentacles of the grossly misnamed Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, knows that it is a disaster.
The one-size-fits-all law, Obama’s signature legislative achievement, has actually caused premiums, deductibles, and co-pays to go through the roof while narrowing provider networks. Double-digit rate hikes are projected in many states.
Even the liberal Politifact website named the “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan” promise as the lie of the year in 2013.
According to yet another WikiLeaks email hack, even Hillary Clinton has acknowledged that Obamare is a failure, although her solution seems to be more big government intrusion into the health insurance and the healthcare delivery system through a European-style model.
An email from WikiLeaks about the “unraveling of Obamacare” through a successful Republican repeal effort could mean that Hillary Clinton wants the Affordable Care Act to crash and burn so that it can be replaced by healthcare insurance delivery system advocated by Bernie Sanders.
An email leaked by WikiLeaks Tuesday appears to suggest that Hillary Clinton wants the Affordable Care Act to fail — presumably as a pretense for implementing single-payer, government-controlled health care.
It seems quite clear from this email that the ‘unraveling’ of Obamacare is precisely what Clinton desires. Despite the dutiful lip service Clinton pays to Obamacare on the campaign trail, her professed desire of a completely socialized public option is likely unachievable without the opportunity to push an expansion that would be created by Obamacare’s collapse.
Even former President Bill Clinton, while campaigning in Michigan for his wife, acknowledged that Obamacare is a “crazy system” that has failed the middle class.
You may recall that about two years ago, one of the Obamacare architects bragged on camera about the stupidity and economic unsophistication of the American voter, along with the lack of transparency in the complicated legalese in the bill itself, that allowed Obamacare to pass Congress on a straight-party line vote when Democrats were running things.
In the pre-Obamacare environment, dealing with the insurance company bureaucracy about your medical bills was bad enough. How could any rational person expect that an inept or worse government bureaucracy would be in any way an upgrade?
