Liberals are outraged with the Electoral College confirming the will of the people across the country Monday, electing Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States.
Protests emerged at various statehouses as electors gathered to cast their ballots.
This was especially evident in Wisconsin, where one woman was fuming after its members cast their ballots for Trump.
“You sold out our country,” she exclaimed before being escorted out of the room. “Every one of you, you’re pathetic. You don’t deserve to be in America.”
Now the anger has shifted to social media, where #NeverMyPresident has been trending on Twitter Tuesday.
#NeverMyPresident I can already tell this is going to be a long four years.
I see tweets like this trending more often than usual. ?

DJT won the election riding a wave of hate and lying repeatedly to his supporters. The man is shameless and a con artist. #NeverMyPresident

But the hashtag was soon hijacked by Trump supporters:

While people say #NeverMyPresident , Obama is using his last days to release more terrorists and felons and ignore Syria.

Those who do not accept election results do not respect a free society. Remove illegal votes, Trump won by a landslide.#NeverMyPresident
