2008 was a sad year for Orlando, Fla. A toddler went missing launching a statewide manhunt for the two-year-old little girl and her supposed abductor. Eventually the little girl’s body was found and the nation mourned for the loss of such an innocent. But the outrage came as we learned more about her death.
Casey Anthony was eventually arrested and tried for murdering her daughter Caylee. The Daily Caller reported that the evidence presented at her 2011 trial “strongly suggested that Anthony killed her daughter and kept her body in the trunk of her car.” Anthony was acquitted on those charges despite strong evidence against her.
Anthony once again has entered the public spotlight, this time protesting Donald Trump. She “was spotted among a group of 3,000 people protesting outside of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort late Saturday.” She is seen on a short video recorded by WPTV, a local new station in West Palm Beach, Florida. Anthony, wearing glow-in-the-dark bracelets, is seen “waving to someone off camera.” She “declined to speak to WPTV on camera but did say that she opposed Trump.”
“She did say that she is against what President Trump is doing,” the news anchor said.
According to WPTV, the protest was organized by South Florida Activism and Women’s March Florida PBC. It included a 2.4-mile march from Trump Plaza in West Palm Beach ending at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Palm Beach Police reportedly ordered the protesters to leave at approximately 9 pm ET.
