Despite indictments and ongoing investigations across the country, Democrats claim that voter fraud is a myth. They also seem to think that showing a photo ID at the voting station is roughly equivalent to waterboarding.
In a yet another hidden camera video from conservative activist James O’Keefe and his Project Veritas crew, however, a New York City elections official seems to concede that voter fraud is rampant and is disenfranchising legal voters, and which may explain why New York is a solidly blue state.
In the footage, New York City Board of Elections commissioner Alan Schulkin, a Democrat, expressed strong reservations about leftist Mayor Bill de Blasio handing out municipal IDs like Halloween candy.
The conversation with an undercover Project Veritas journalist occurred during a December holiday party.
He gave out ID cards, de Blasio. That’s in lieu of a driver’s license, but you can use it for anything. But they didn’t vet the people to see who they really are. Anybody can go in there and say, ‘I am Joe Smith, I want an ID card.’ It’s absurd. There is a lot of fraud. Not just voter fraud, all kinds of fraud…’
The official also declared that a photo ID law should be implemented In New York to combat voter fraud and added that absentee ballot fraud is also a serious issue. He also confirmed the long-standing fraudulent practice by Democrats to bus voters from precinct to precinct to vote multiple times.
The New York Post contacted Schulkin about his taped remarks.
Reached Monday night, Schulkin defended his videotaped remarks, with slight revisions. ‘I should have said ‘potential fraud’ instead of ‘fraud,’ he said. But he reiterated his support for a voter ID requirement. He recalled a woman asking him a lot of questions the night he was recorded.’ She was like a nuisance. I was just trying to placate her,’ he said.
“This story is simply confirmation of our suspicions. The reason Democrats hide from voter ID laws is because they’re exploiting the lack of an ID to skirt laws,” the Louder with Crowder website asserted.
