CONFIRMED: Donald Trump Just Scored Huge Honor…Americans Are CHEERING!

As 2016 winds down, it is time again for Time Magazine to announce their annual Person of the Year.

The winner likely comes as no surprise.

Time Magazine announced Wednesday that President-elect Donald Trump has been named the 2016 Person of the Year.

Other finalists included Hillary Clinton and “The Hackers.” However, Time editor Nancy Gibbs said on the Today Show that “the choice of Trump this year was ‘straightforward.’”

The annual award is given to the person who has had the greatest influence on world events “for better or worse.”

President-elect Trump spoke via telephone on the Today show this morning.

“It’s a great honor. It means a lot,” said Trump.

The cover illustration of Time’s premier annual cover includes the President-elect in his Trump Tower residence and the caption “President of the Divided States of America.”

“Trump took issue with the ‘Divided States of America’ description,” reported Town Hall. He said, “I didn’t divide ‘em. We’re going to put it back together and we’re going to have a country that’s very well-healed.”

Gibbs told NBC that Hillary Clinton came closer to being named Time’s Person of the Year than any other woman noting that Clinton’s candidacy illustrated “both the opportunities and the obstacles that women face in the public square.” The Hackers came in third place. Gibbs’s said that this referred to “a new cyber security threat we saw this year of state-sponsored hackers looking to delegitimize an American election,” something she described as “very disturbing.”
