Ho, ho, ho – the jolly man from the golden tower gave America an early present this week.
He declared the season bright with a call for all to once again say, “Merry Christmas!”
It was a rallying cry against the PC police for President-elect Donald Trump as he continued his “Thank You” tour before thousands of supporters.
During a tour stop Tuesday in West Allis, Wisc., Trump opened up his appearance by fulfilling a campaign promise regarding the use of “Merry Christmas” as a holiday greeting.
“So when I started 18 months ago, I told my first crowd in Wisconsin that we are going to come back here someday and we are going to say merry Christmas again,” Trump told a boisterous crowd.
Merry Christmas – so merry Christmas everyone. Happy New Year, but Merry Christmas.
Trump was clear in his greeting and why he returned to one of the key states that helped him secure the presidency.
“And I am here today for one main reason: to say thank you to the people of Wisconsin,” he said.
Trump is a man of his word. His return to Wisconsin delivered a holiday promise and the promise of reinvigorating an America not beholden to politically correct speech.
It’s an America where free speech is honored, and freedom of expression is not considered offensive.
The holidays will be much happier, and Christmas a merry, bright new day.
